A Beautiful Day in the seventies had to be enjoyed outside! I love when the sun shines down upon the snow tipped mountains, the grass turns green and the flowers are emerging. We were blessed with a warm weekend and the boys took every advantage of it. Like wild animals turned loose, they ran, jumped and crawled all over the yard. When spring arrives it is a welcome sight after a long winter inside. Now lets hope we don't see snow in May like we did last year! Happy Spring Everyone.

Baby Chickens
Our babies are quickly growing up. They are about 6 weeks old now and we have...
"Jemimah" ( she will be a whopping 11 pounds!) I think that may be bigger then our dog maggie or pretty close! Also there is "Blondie White" which is our yellow girl who is Gavin's chicken and he happily gave her that name which he says is because she has "blond hair like me". Then we have "Golden" which is Carter's black chicken with golden highlights. And "Alice" our pretty girl in the middle and "Janis" which is my chicken with the white afro. She is named after Janis Joplin and she is pretty groovy. :). Zach has yet to name his waiting to see if his is a male or female. We don't know yet!! I didn't realize how much I would like having chickens, the eggs are so good and they are fun to watch. Happy Egg Laying! (in about 4 months!)

Arrow of Light and Webelos Badge
SO proud of Zach for accomplishing all that he has to move on from cub scouts to boy scouts. I want to give a special thanks to Aaron! He has been the strength and has encouraged him to press on and work hard even when at the end it was daunting. Aaron is the scout man! I think its his lifelong calling!! Good job Zach and we love you so much!
Bikes and Dogs
A few more things the boys did over spring break were..seeing the new city creek center in Salt Lake by the temple while seeing Grandpa, walking a dog from the animal shelter around a pond so he could get some fresh air, riding bikes, swimming, hiking down a canyon to see the river and collect rocks with Grandma, finding golf balls on the golf course, finding some summer clothes, eating burgers at In and Out burger with my uncles, having a fun BBQ and games at the park with cousins, coloring Easter Eggs with Grandma, having a sleepover at Sam and Natalies, playing with cousins in Cedar City, and a super long car ride!!
The memories will last a lifetime!
DIXIE ROCK ADVENTURES
Sunny St. George day up at Dixie Rock! My boys are quite the adventurers as they crawl through tiny cracks and make it slowly towards the top. I was grateful for a dear friend who could make it through that tiny crevasse as I walked to the top anxiously waiting for their arrival so I could snap this last picture! Great job guys!!
ROCK CLIMBERS
Dixie Rock has always been a favorite spot that boys love to climb, explore, and show off thier agility skills with much amazement from me! I can sit at the bottom of a boulder and watch my boys run up it with ease, oh how I remember when I could do that :) Carter especially loves to go full speed up anything he sees as a challenge, while Zach surveys quietly to find the best route. I love taking my boys to this place, it will always hold great memories for me.
Fun on the FARM
We loved this hairy guy, he had long dread locks and reminded us of the goat on hoodwinked! The boys also loved that they could chase the ducks on the lawn around the farm and they even found a cool fort to climb into! Overall it was a successful day... but what made it so fun, bringing cousins together again.
