Father's Day Outing

In the afternoon we packed up a picnic lunch and headed to the mountains. It was our first beautiful summer day in Montana and it has been a tradition to take a picnic and get outside for Father's Day. Everything is so green right now with all the rain we have had so the trees were lush and the rivers were full. We took a nice walk up to this waterfall and the boys couldn't resist but to get in! They were impressing all of the onlookers nearby. :) I am so thankful for Aaron and the father that he is. He honors his priesthood, he sacrifices his time each day to provide for us as a family, he loves my children unconditionally and involves himself in all that they are doing. What a blessing a father is. I am grateful for an eternal Heavenly Father who loves us despite our faults and is patient, who gives love freely and powerfully, and who has given us a beautiful journey to grow and have these experiences in this life. To all the Father's in my life, Thank You.

End of the School Year

The end of the school year came with some fun activities the boys participated in. Zach showed off his percussion skills in a concert playing many different instruments and excelled in band this year! Carter participated in a track meet competing in long jump, high jump, a relay race, and the 100 yard dash. Out of all the fourth graders Carter came in 3rd for the relay, 4th for long jump, and 8th in high jump. After it was all over we all enjoyed some local ice cream at our favorite spot. The boys are looking forward to a fun-filled summer of scout camps, rafting the river, and the freedom to bike and roam wherever their hearts take them. Happy Summer Everyone!

Zach's 12th Birthday!

Zach's Birthday was a very special milestone for us as parents. It is hard to put into words what it meant for me to have my oldest son receive the Aaronic Priesthood. It was extra special because it fell on Mother's Day and I can think of no greater gift then to see my son progress in this life and in the Gospel. I love this Gospel with my entire being and to see the joy come over his face and to know the Holy Ghost was penetrating his heart to the truthfulness of this great work as he received this sacred responsibility was a day that will forever be in my heart. It is why I am here, it is why I love this plan and know that these are the greatest moments in life.

Yellow Bay Evening

We had the opportunity to run up to the Gibson's house for a quick weekend of activities. Saturday was spent with all the fun things that the Gibson house offers.. Aaron and Gavin went four wheeling and spotted a black bear, Aaron and the boys enjoyed a game of basketball, there were endless trampoline jumps and in the evening we spent the night down at Yellow Bay. We had a fun BBQ and George took us out on the boat to spot the Bald Eagles. The boys in my family tried out the Kayaks for the first time! Carter and Grant (who was brave steering his Kayak with one arm because the other was broken) spent a lot of time floating together all around the bay. On Sunday we enjoyed going to the Bigfork Ward and after celebrating GT's 15th Birthday! Shauna fed us such a wonderful meal and everyone took an instrument and serenaded George in a song of Happy Birthday. He got a laptop computer which was awesome! :) Thank you Gibson Family for the hospitality and such a wonderful time. We Love you and can't wait to see you again.
