Halloween Night

This year we were lucky enough to live on "Halloween Street". We were warned when we moved into our home to expect up to 1000 trick or treaters and we were ready with almost a garbage bag full of candy!! We decorated the trees in front of the house with glowing ghosts and made a haunted porch with halloween music playing in the background. The boys LOVED having so many people coming to the house and helped pass out candy to lines and lines of children at our doorstep! They also loved the fact that they could run up and down the street without mom and dad. The highlight of the night was Gavin winning a bike and helmet at the harvest festival later that night. What a night to remember.

Pumpkin Patch

We all enjoyed a late afternoon adventure at the pumpkin patch. It was nice to get outside after another knee surgery even if it was on crutches! They spent an hour trying to find their way through the hay bale maze, went upside down in a amusement park-like ride, and played in a corn pit. As I sat and watched, Zach bought a hot chocolate (my favorite) and brought it over to me as a suprise. What a beautiful way to spend a saturday.

A trip down memory lane..

I came across these photos that Aaron had taken awhile back when we lived in Polson and I thought I would share them. They make my heart just melt and tears run down my eyes as I think how fast the years have gone. With all my knee surgeries I am not realizing how much time is passing and this is a reminder to love each other each day and to never take life for granted. What a gift he has given us to have a family on the earth and to have moments big and small to cherish throughout our lives. I am grateful for my family. Hug your families a little more and never forget that the time we spend together is the only time that truly matters.

Boys in the Fall

Fall has been so short this year that any small chance we have had we have headed down to the park to enjoy the leaves and the cool air. I love boys. They are so full of energy and can make anything fun. Can you see the joy on their faces? It reminds me to try to see things through the eyes of a child and find the joy in the simple things. Happy Fall Everyone.

Winter on the horizon

Montana weather is unpredictable and that is exactly why I LOVE montana. One day its fall, the next day its winter. This was one day last week when a storm came in and it reminded me that winter is just a few days away. I am grateful for a warm home, a cup of hot chocolate, and a camera on days like this.

Fall River

Fall has arrived in all its splendor. Which means Aaron is occupied with thoughts of hunting and happened to be in Wyoming with Brian on this day we decided to take in the last few days of warmer fall days. We are so blessed to walk out our front door and find ourselves at the Yellowstone River. A few days after I took these photos a snow storm came in and the leaves are all dropping from the trees. I feel a colder winter coming this year. This was a picture perfect day to sit and watch my boys throw rocks into the river. I feel so blessed.

Fall Football

Go #78!! Carter has been a star player this year in flag football with lightening fast defense to stop many from making a play. His position is outside safety for all the defensive plays for his speed and agility. He also has played quarterback and running back for the offense. We are so proud of Carter! He is determined to stick it out through high school to play for the Park Rangers!! This year his team was on the field at the high school game to hear the cheers of the crowd as their names were introduced and they also rode on a float during the homecoming parade. They only lost one game this season thanks to an amazing coach. GOOOO CARTER!!
