LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!

They DID IT!! School is officially over and I am so proud of my boys. Zach survived 5th grade and next year will be onto middle school!! Am I ready? A 6th grader already and he is already showing signs of a preteen. :) Carter finished up 3rd grade this year and Gavin got through another year of preschool. I don't know that the kindergarten is ready for Gavin next year! Here they are in front of our new rental house and also enjoying ice cream cones at the pickle barrel in downtown Livingston. Schools out for SUMMER!

Smores in the Backyard

We are starting to get settled into our new home and decided to cook up some smores one night to take a break after all the unpacking! It feels good to get into a home we know we will be staying in for awhile and we are enjoying the quirky things about living in a home that may be 100 yrs old. . (we still need to find out). There are a couple of the original door knobs.. We feel blessed to have a home to live in and one that is close to the park and schools. I will post more pics soon.

Wax Museum

The end of the year marked a fun program from the fifth graders on all they learned throughout the year with an emphasis on history. They sang songs from the World Wars, the civil War, and the Great Depression giving us a glimpse into history. After the program we walked through the halls of the elementary and each fifth grader was a character out of history, dressed and posing as if in a wax museum. They each had a back drop to go with their character. Zach was Ulysses S. Grant. He stood pretty still and didn't even flinch when I came by and took pictures of him!

Fairwell to Miller Drive

We are closing a chapter on Miller Drive and moving to the city! We will bring a "little country" with us as we take our five chickens along with us. You may take the boys out of the country but they will bring a little country with them along the way. We are excited for our new adventure and to have the security of knowing this is it.. at least untill Zach hits the big 15! Can it be so?! We have moved 14 times in 14 years of marriage and we are ready to see what life can be like staying in one place. We will be almost a stones throw away from an amazing park on the Yellowstone River and I anticipate many new memories will be made in our new surroundings. I think we will enjoy being close to all that Livingston has to offer. My boys are growing so fast and I know I can't stop it but I will enjoy watching them continue to grow and have new adventures! We have enjoyed our time here in this home at the mouth of the Paradise Valley and it has instilled in us once again what beauty Montana has to offer us. On to the next chapter....

Happy Birthday Zach!

Zach is a special young man. We feel so blessed to have him as a son and to watch him grow and begin to see all that he is. As each year passes I realize how fast time is going and someday I will want these moments back. I am so proud of the young man he is already becoming and I hope middle school will be kind to him :) Oh boy... here we go Zach! I know with your strong spirit and compassion for others you will be just fine. We Love you! Happy Birthday!

Sunny Sabbath

A Beautiful Day in the seventies had to be enjoyed outside! I love when the sun shines down upon the snow tipped mountains, the grass turns green and the flowers are emerging. We were blessed with a warm weekend and the boys took every advantage of it. Like wild animals turned loose, they ran, jumped and crawled all over the yard. When spring arrives it is a welcome sight after a long winter inside. Now lets hope we don't see snow in May like we did last year! Happy Spring Everyone.
