The Maze
This fall has brought all kinds of weather with an early snow and then pristine October days of soft light and colorful sightings. On a beautiful fall Saturday we headed to the Bozeman Maze to try our hand at navigating through the hay bales. This year the maze was in the shape of a stage coach, it was so impressive! It has become a fun family tradition and this year did not disappoint. I am so grateful to those who put in the time and effort to make fun family activities we can enjoy year after year. After we made our way through which took over an hour or so, Gavin and Carter decided it was time to "fly". I love these boys, their energy and seeing them experience pure joy. Now onto Halloween!

Fourth of JULY!
Summer has come and gone and I feel the crisp fall air coming in the evenings but I can't forget the memories that were made and the traditions that we are making. The fourth of July is a BLAST in Livingston Montana! It's a time of river rafting, parades, rodeo's, fireworks, family and BBQ's.
We invite anyone who would like to join us next year for some good old fashioned fun. It has been a tradition for many years that the city of Livingston shuts down for a fun parade where people all over come to enjoy and fill their pockets full of candy and the rodeo is on the National Circuit so it ranks as one of the best! The boys had a fun time this year and it will be a tradition of ours in the years to come.

Father's Day Outing
In the afternoon we packed up a picnic lunch and headed to the mountains. It was our first beautiful summer day in Montana and it has been a tradition to take a picnic and get outside for Father's Day. Everything is so green right now with all the rain we have had so the trees were lush and the rivers were full. We took a nice walk up to this waterfall and the boys couldn't resist but to get in! They were impressing all of the onlookers nearby. :) I am so thankful for Aaron and the father that he is. He honors his priesthood, he sacrifices his time each day to provide for us as a family, he loves my children unconditionally and involves himself in all that they are doing. What a blessing a father is. I am grateful for an eternal Heavenly Father who loves us despite our faults and is patient, who gives love freely and powerfully, and who has given us a beautiful journey to grow and have these experiences in this life. To all the Father's in my life, Thank You.
End of the School Year
The end of the school year came with some fun activities the boys participated in. Zach showed off his percussion skills in a concert playing many different instruments and excelled in band this year! Carter participated in a track meet competing in long jump, high jump, a relay race, and the 100 yard dash. Out of all the fourth graders Carter came in 3rd for the relay, 4th for long jump, and 8th in high jump. After it was all over we all enjoyed some local ice cream at our favorite spot. The boys are looking forward to a fun-filled summer of scout camps, rafting the river, and the freedom to bike and roam wherever their hearts take them. Happy Summer Everyone!

Zach's 12th Birthday!
Zach's Birthday was a very special milestone for us as parents. It is hard to put into words what it meant for me to have my oldest son receive the Aaronic Priesthood. It was extra special because it fell on Mother's Day and I can think of no greater gift then to see my son progress in this life and in the Gospel. I love this Gospel with my entire being and to see the joy come over his face and to know the Holy Ghost was penetrating his heart to the truthfulness of this great work as he received this sacred responsibility was a day that will forever be in my heart. It is why I am here, it is why I love this plan and know that these are the greatest moments in life.
